    What Owners Say

    12V battery

"I have had so many dead battery problems. The same dealer as fixed my warning light issues improved the battery issue. They told me this is common with Fits which were designed to use undersize batteries and was one of the reasons the fit isn't made anymore."

Anonymous, WA (2015 Honda Fit Unsure 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Gauges

"The Honda Fit gauge cluster would not work when cold due to bad solder joints. Repaired myself at no cost."

Anonymous A., CA (2015 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Keyless entry

"My fob would not reliably start the car. When I took my car to the Honda dealer with that complaint they told me it was a known problem in Honda Fits and the problem was repaired with no charge."

    Anonymous, IL (2015 Honda Fit EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Other electrical system problem

"The start button stopped working and had to be repaired out of pocket. We were told a memo "went out" but we were never notified and are the orig. owners. We were disappointed in Honda."

    Anonymous, MN (2015 Honda Fit EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    "Starter button failed"

    Anonymous, ME (2015 Honda Fit EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Anonymous, IL (2015 Honda Fit EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Tire pressure monitor

"Monitor comes on frequently. It even came on the day after a Honda trouble call"

Anonymous, HI (2015 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Warning lights

""All the lights went on. Our dealer diagnosed rodent damage and said we must replace entire wiring harness. We sought a second opinion from a different dealer, who found a tire sensor fitting had rusted out and caused a short-circuit. The repair was less than a third of what the first dealer proposed.""

Anonymous A., OH (2015 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"Constant erroneous warning lights. It started with the tire pressure and then included many many others. Dealer fixed it. A previous dealer and 2 independents couldn't. The second dealer, though farther away finally fixed it."

Anonymous, WA (2015 Honda Fit Unsure 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Paint/Trim

Paint (fading, chalking, peeling, or cracking), loose interior or exterior trim or moldings, rust.

Paint (fading, chalking, cracking, or peeling)

    "paint peel"

Anonymous A., PA (2015 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"Our Fit has white pearl paint. Honda had problems with this paint peeling and our car was peeling all over. My car was a year past the Honda extended warranty for them to pay for painting it. Our local Honda dealer was able to get Honda USA to pay for this because we are loyal Honda owners."

Anonymous A., VA (2015 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"The paint looks like it has light cream colored freckles. That front is so low it invites damage from small stones and on the debris on roads. I dont really care and this little car is a perfect Chicago vehicle: great mileage, easy to maneuver and park, surprisingly generous interior space, and not a tempting vehicle for car thieves or jackers"

Anonymous A., IL (2015 Honda Fit Unsure 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"Paint on a rear door is peeling of."

    Anonymous, MB (2015 Honda Fit EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"Rusted lower dog leg on BOTH rear wheel wells"

    Anonymous, ME (2015 Honda Fit EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"R used car was purchased from the Honda dealership but the paint job on it was poorly done with paint on the trunk peeling off and rust gets on the hood. When brought to Honda sales person I was referred to an outside car psintrr"

Anonymous, HI (2015 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

Sensors (O₂, or oxygen, sensor), emission-control devices (includes EGR), fuel-injection system, fuel gauge/sender, fuel pump, problems filling up the tank.

    What Owners Say

    Fuel injection system

"All dash borax warning lights lit up. Honda said I had an issue with fuel injectors covered by an extended warranty. Warranty covered basic cost of injector replacement and I paid for cleaning carbon of block. My cost $1000"

Anonymous A., FL (2015 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"the injectors had to be replaced , Honda extended the warranty to cover this issue yet never did a recall"

Anonymous, CA (2015 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

""This past winter, when it was very cold, 4 of my warning lights appeared at once on my dashboard. None were flashing. The code came up as fuel injectors. There was a service bulletin/warranty extension for the fuel injectors that lasted 150k miles or 10 years. Unfortunately, my car was 10 1/2 years old. My local dealer's service manager was kind enough to contact the Honda rep for our district and ask for a break. They offered to do the full replacement of all 4 injectors for $515 - the dealer's original estimate for the work was $2000. The best estimate from a local shop was $1150. Obviously, I accepted their offer and the car has run great since. The warning lights did not reappear.""

Anonymous A., MD (2015 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
Sensors (includes O2 or oxygen sensor)

"Code P0420 oxygen sensor error. Repair shop replaced catalytic converter years ago but this did not fix the problem. Now they are saying it is a fuel injector defect."

    Climate System

AC compressor, blower (fan) motor, condenser, evaporator, heater system, automatic climate system, electrical failure, refrigerant leakage.

Anonymous, NH (2015 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Other climate system problem

""When I set the air to recirculate, rather than use outside air, under some conditions, the windshield and whole car would fog up so that it was impossible to see. Nothing worked, opening windows, increasing fan on windshield, etc. Very scary! I searched on line and other Honda Fit owners said to never recirculate the air and it has not happened again since did as they suggested.""

    Anonymous, ON (2015 Honda Fit EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Refrigerant leaks

"Realized car wasn't cooling. Took to dealer, they found and fixed the leak, then refilled system."

    What Owners Say

    Display screen goes blank

""The display that shows mileage, gas tank level, trip length etc, will, on occasion, not have any data showing at all. This seems to mainly happen when it is colder. Sometimes banging on the dashboard fixes it, but it will usually come on by itself after driving a few miles.""

Anonymous, CA (2015 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

""works intermittently, as if the connection is loose.""

Anonymous A., PA (2015 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

""Odometer, fuel gauge and maintenance minder display goes blank intermittently. This is a known defect, soldered pins lose electrical connection. Dealership will not repair, only replace entire module, which costs more thsn $850.""

Anonymous, MD (2015 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Other in-car electronics problem

"Started about 80,000 miles. When cold (either from non-summer weather temp or during cold start), gauge is blank. Eventually comes on. Common problem; Honda should have issued recall."

We worry something is being ignored/neglected that eventually will cause a big enough problem that cant be ignored or sloughed off, and we will pay BIG BUCKS to get it fixed.""

Anonymous A., NY (2015 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
