Paint/Trim

Paint (fading, chalking, peeling, or cracking), loose interior or exterior trim or moldings, rust.

/ 5

What Owners Say

Loose exterior trim or moldings

"trim pieces have been falling off pretty much since the day I bought the car 3 years. so far it's nothing that would cause real issues (fake vents, underbody pastic, ect) but if you care about your car looking good, it might be best to look elsewhever"

Anonymous, OH (2010 Honda Insight None 1.3-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
Paint (fading, chalking, cracking, or peeling)

"The paint fading and chalking has gotten progressively worse over the last 7 years."

Anonymous, AZ (2010 Honda Insight None 1.3-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
Rust

"a few months ago (say feb-march) I started noticing an occasional rattle from the back of the car. at first it was very brief, but as time went by it became a near constant noise any time the cars was stopped and the engine was on. Eventually I took it to the dealership and they informed me that hook for the rear exhaust had rusted to the point where it had broken off, and now was just hanging there. They informed me they could not repair it, and that maybe a body shop would be able to handle it. the car hasn't had the easiest life (living outside in the rust belt). it also isn't exactly CPO at 14 years old, but there's rust on every panel, and I'm guessing this exhaust problem is going to be worse as a result."

Anonymous, OH (2010 Honda Insight None 1.3-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
