    Noises And Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other noises & leaks problem

"The vehicle, purchased in 2020 with 78k miles, did not have any interior engine noises. Shortly after purchase, two maintenance repairs were done: 1. timing belt change (although mileage for the belt had not yet been reached, the belt was 11 years old and Honda recommends changing at 7 years); 2. a recall that involved the gas line/tank. Once these two repairs were done, I started hearing engine noises that sounded how older cars (before computers) sounded when their timing was off. The mechanics call it a pinging. I think it sounds more like a gurgling. The sound comes between 1700 and 2200 rpms, regardless of speed. The sound seems more prevalent at higher temps outside (ie summer temps), but Im not sure if this is simply due to windows open, able to hear it better. The sound is getting worse over time. The vehicle has been thoroughly checked, multiple times, at a reputable Honda dealership. The vehicle computers have never alerted to a problem. I have been assured the repairs had nothing to do with the sound. That the pinging is simply cylinders not firing quite at the right time (which sounds like a timing issue), which may effect my gas mileage, but isnt a timing problem. These newer cars dont have timing issues like older cars did. I have reached out to Honda corporate (Honda USA??) and was dismissed quickly. A corporate employee told me my case was closed 45 min after I called to file my complaint. My mechanic also reached out to Honda and was told to try supreme gas (higher octane??). I did whatever was suggested, including shifting to lower gear on steep hills. Nothing helps."

    Brakes

Premature pad/rotor wear, pulsation or vibration, antilock system, parking brake, master cylinder, calipers, squeaking, brake failure, regenerative braking.

    What Owners Say

    Rotors

"I purchased the vehicle used with 78k. Drove to just over 162k with no brake/rotor issues. Regular maintenance and replacement, if needed, of brake pads, but no actual problems. In late Sept (2023) at approx 163k miles, I felt the beginnings of a warped rotor. Given the rotors were likely original, I had them replaced rather than resurfaced. By early Nov (2023), I felt an obvious warped rotor again. These were factory rotors, less than two months old, installed by a certified Honda mechanic at a reputable Honda dealership. Also, I drive passengers all day, so am pretty slow, do almost no hard breaking, and understand how hot spots are created on a rotors. I do not ride the brake. These new rotors were replaced by the dealership with factory Honda rotors. By April 2024, I was beginning to feel another warped rotor. The car was driven no different in the last 6 months than it had been driven in the previous three years. And I had never had rotor issues with any car in my 35 years of driving. The dealership resurfaced the new rotors this time. It is now Aug (2024) and so far the resurfacing has held. Not sure if metals going into the factory rotors has deteriorated in quality. Or if my dealership had received a bad batch, but I experienced two sets of new rotors with the exact same issue."

Alternator, starter, hybrid battery replacement, hybrid battery related systems, regular battery, battery cables, engine harness, coil, ignition switch, electronic ignition, spark plugs and wires failure, auto stop/start.

The fuel gauge will always read 3/4 full to full regardless of the actual level.
    What should you do:
Delphi has begun notifying dealers and distributors, and will replace the fuel pump modules, free of charge. Owners may contact Delphi customer service at 1-877-411-8770. Delphi's number for this recall is GL14-004.
