    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Apple CarPlay

"Not as good as 2017 gps system"

Anonymous A., NY (2024 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition 3.5-L V6)
    In-dash navigation system (GPS)

"In car navigation system is far inferior to one I had on 2017 ridgeline. Salespeople failed to explain difference. Also no in bed speakers on 2024 model. And don not lime the new shifting push button system. Easy to mis shift"

Anonymous A., NY (2024 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition 3.5-L V6)
    Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

"I had an intermittent problem pairing phone to Ridgeline using bluetooth."

Anonymous, CO (2024 Honda Ridgeline RTL 3.5-L V6)
    Speakers

"Paid for premium sound. Got what most folks would call a basic sound system. Its. Okay."

Anonymous, FL (2024 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition 3.5-L V6)

    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

""Vehicle occasionally shuts down and goes completely dead for no reason; but both times it happened I was able to restart the vehicle after about 3 minutes or so. I liken it to a computer rebooting. One time though it happened at a busy intersection at lunch time and as the vehicle was dead, I could not deploy the hazard lights. Fortunately I was able to restart the vehicle right as the traffic light turned green (I was first in line at the signal). Happened again 9 days later at a parking lot. Vehicle started briefly but then went completely dead. Like last time though, it eventually restarted. Fortunately there was no danger the 2nd time it happened.""

    Anonymous A., CA (2024 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport 3.5-L V6)

"Tail lights are not watertight. They hold water."

Anonymous, MD (2024 Honda Ridgeline Sport 3.5-L V6)

    "Running board lights"

Anonymous, NY (2024 Honda Ridgeline RTL 3.5-L V6)

"Engine hesitation, after braking the truck hesitates when you try and accelerate. It can take 3-4 seconds for smooth acceleration after braking or even coasting"

Anonymous, MA (2024 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition 3.5-L V6)

    Brakes

Premature pad/rotor wear, pulsation or vibration, antilock system, parking brake, master cylinder, calipers, squeaking, brake failure, regenerative braking.

    What Owners Say

    Rotors

"All rotors prematurely warped by about 21,000 miles. Pulsating while braking. Dealer refused it as a warranty issue. I believe the rotors were defective. Spent $800 to replace with aftermarket rotors and pads. Independent mechanic that did the work stated the warped rotors he removed showed almost no signs of wear even though they had already warped."

Anonymous, SD (2024 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition 3.5-L V6)

"Started at 26000 km. Took it to my Honda dealer and they were replaced on warranty"

Anonymous, SK (2024 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport 3.5-L V6)

""After about 10,000 miles, the truck would pulsate when the brakes were applied. The truck had recently been driven in a mountainous area with some heavy breaking and this resulted in slightly warped rotors. The weight of the truck and the heating of the brakes during mountainous travel coupled with hard braking caused this. The brakes, in my opinion, aren't "heavy duty" enough for the weight of the truck.""

Anonymous A., GA (2024 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition 3.5-L V6)

    Noises/Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

""During heavy rain events or when going through an automatic car wash, the windshield leaked at the top driver side and pooled onto the driver side floorboard.""

Anonymous A., GA (2024 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition 3.5-L V6)
    Squeaks or rattles

    "Clear plastic panel squeaks"

Anonymous, NM (2024 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport 3.5-L V6)

    Body Hardware

Windows, locks and latches, doors or sliding doors, tailgate, trunk or hatch, mirrors, seat controls (power or manual), seat belts, sunroof, convertible top, glass defect.

    What Owners Say

    Glass defects

"The front windshield had what appeared to be bubbles in the laminate. While trying to get dealer to replace a rock hit it and I went ahead and had it replaced under insurance"

Anonymous, NM (2024 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport 3.5-L V6)
    Sunroof

"Faulty seal on sunroof, from factory"

Anonymous, MA (2024 Honda Ridgeline RTL 3.5-L V6)

    Transmission Minor

Gear selector and linkage, transmission computer, transmission sensor or solenoid, clutch adjustment, rough shifting, slipping transmission, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Rough shifting

"The transmission has problems with shifting to the lower gear when shifting from D5 to D4 for engine braking. Honda cannot find the problem; the dealership says I should change my driving habits. The engine revs up in D5 and accelerates instead of slowing down before it finds D4. I have bought approximately 15 new vehicles and this is the only one where this issue happens. The mechanic at the dealership told me that they have problems with the transmission finding the right gear when downshifting. Problem has not been resolved."

    Anonymous A., AB (2024 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport 3.5-L V6)
    Transmission computer

"Problem with transmission finding the right gear as explained earlier. Most likely a computer problem."

    Anonymous A., AB (2024 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport 3.5-L V6)

    Electrical Accessories

Cruise control, clock, warning lights, body control module, keyless entry, wiper motor or washer, tire pressure monitor, interior or exterior lights, horn, gauges, 12V power plug, USB ports, alarm or security system, remote engine start, heated or cooled seats, heated steering wheel, headlights, automatic headlights, automatic wipers, wireless charging pad.

    What Owners Say

    Automatic high-beam headlights

"The auto bright and dim doesn't work consistently. Sometime it works and sometime it doesn't. Noticed it the first time I drove it at night. Haven't brought it in yet. Plan to get it repaired during first oil change visit."

Anonymous, TX (2024 Honda Ridgeline Unsure 3.5-L V6)
