    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

"Idle stop and go is not working"

Anonymous, MI (2023 Hyundai Kona N-Line 1.6-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Because I hardly used the car horn, I didn't know until Nov 2923, 11 months after owning it the horn stopped working or it was defective. I took it back to the dealer in January 2024 and they fixed the issue. I was told there was a short in it. In December 2023 my other issue I had was the fuel door not opening after I lifted the fuel door release latch. When I took the car in for service in 1/24 (there was a long wait time to book an appointment at the dealer) the technician was able to open it when he lifted the latch up and said everything was fine. He said I had an issue due to the cold weather. A few weeks later I was getting gas and the latch wouldn't prop the door open!! I had someone else try to get it open and they heard it click but not open. Thankfully I was able to use a key to force the door open. I took the car back to the dealer where it was fixed due to a bad or broken spring. Both issues were resolved."

Anonymous, NY (2023 Hyundai Kona Limited 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Car runs well, but small cargo area is a problem, leaving back seats down all the time to help."

Anonymous, KY (2023 Hyundai Kona SE)

"the remote gas cap release does not pop the cap so I can fill my gas tank"

Anonymous, MI (2023 Hyundai Kona SEL 2.0-L 4 Cyl)

    "The horn stopped working."

Anonymous A., AZ (2023 Hyundai Kona SEL 2.0-L 4 Cyl)

"Just bought this used car 3 days ago- Carfax was clear. Have no personal knowledge of problems, if any. Ill let you know next year."

Anonymous, NB (2023 Hyundai Kona SEL)

"Horn not working, cruise has intermittent issues"

    Slipping transmission

"when stopped on a hill and you remove ur foot from the brake the car will roll backwards"

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Apple CarPlay

"The Apple Care Play has worked intermittently since I got the car. I have brought the car in to the dealership many times for this issue, and other issues related to the electronics, such as the lane assist, but the dealer makes many excusses for why they can't fix these issues. Also, when I finally called the Hyundai corporate customer service, they were rude and refused to help. I have leased about 10 Hyundais over the past several years, but I may look for another brand because of these very negative experiences."

Anonymous, CA (2023 Hyundai Kona SEL 1.6-L 4 Cyl turbo)
    Radio

"I reported both problems to the dealership I leased the car from, and they were replaced."

    What Owners Say

    Other electrical system problem

"After a fe month this bran new car started having problems. It would not start at all, randomly, leaving me stranded. Took it to the dealers several times, but they could not identify the problem because there it started. We asked them to replace the battery. They could not because they said they did not have one. We waited for months and finally sold the car. So sad, I really liked it otherwise"
