"Engine light came on; had auto shop then dealer pull code, diagnosed as EGR valve failure. 1000 miles out of waranty. Dealer contacted Hyundai corporate- covered 50% of $1500 cost to replace"

"A related issue with the dipstick popping up from pressure was the beginning. It happened within the first 20,000 miles I had the car. It would pop open and I would get the same warning and have no ability to accelerate. Then, the problem started again and this time I could not just check a dipstick being inserted all the way or turn the car off for a few minutes to reset it. I took it to a dealer 500 miles from home and was told the EGR valve failed and wiring harness melted into the valve preventing the car from being able to be driven at all. It happened at 61000 miles and Hyundai refused warranty claim under 100,000 mile powertrain saying it was an exhaust system issue. What made it all worse was Inver Grove Hyundai in Minnesota charging me 350% markup on parts and the maximum labor hours in the book for a nearly $2,850.00 out of pocket, not covered under warranty OR extended warranty. I've owned 4 Hyundai's prior to this one. It will be the last one I own and I will never recommend Hyundai and Hyundai Hybrid cars to anyone who asks me."

"I brought my Tucson to the Hyundai dealer to look at my car. They told me it was only an AC leak. I had to wait 3 weeks for the parts to come in. They installed the o rings and said it was fixed. I drove off the lot and drove for about 5 minutes and no cold air. I brought the car back, and told them it was not working. The tech took my car in and said the compressor is not working. I waited 4 weeks for the parts to come in and when they did the repair. They did not install the EGR gasket, so I will be going back for a third time to get my air conditioning fixed."

The Hyundai Dealer says they cannot identify the problem and was unable to fix the problem. "I had to have inverter coolant system flushed a second time (after initially done under warranty). there were some crystals lodged where they did not flush out the first time this was done. The refill inverter coolant warning would come on when the ambient temperature got very high (in south MS)"

"Battery died several times so that car would not start without a jump start from Roadside service. Took car to dealer who said it needed replacement. Had to wait several days to get a factory warranty replacement authorization. Then took over a month before the dealership could get a new battery! Dealership did provide a free rental during that time."

They checked the battery and said it was dead, they jumped the car and I drove to Hyundai. Four days later they said they could not find out anything and gave us the car back. Three days later the same thing happened again and this time Hyundai (after getting a jump and driving to dealership) indicated the battery and module that connects the battery to the hybrid battery BURNT UP! We waited three and one half months before they were able to repair the car!!!!""

""they claim the valve cover gasket was source of oil leak. it appeared to me to be oil pan gasket. either way 2022 vehicle was dripping oil onto driveway, after EGR valve was replaced. All warranty work but pretty bad considering a 2022 certified used vehicle they sold but faked the mechanical inspection paperwork for the certified used program. (tire tread was so low, I saw it visually, called them on it, they measured and gave me new tires, even though mechanics signed off on tire tread on the inspection checklist prior.""
