"This just happened the other day. I Noticed there was oil on the floor of the garage with 5800 miles on the vehicle. I took it to the dealer. Waiting to hear exactly what the problem is. The person in the service department said there has been an issue with 2023 and 2024 hybrid Santa Fe and Tucson engines. The oil pan is sealed with a sealant rather than a gasket and the sealant has been developing leaks. Hyundai is aware of the problem and is working on a fix. Other than this we have not had any issues with the vehicle and like the vehicle."

"Went in for a routine oil change before a 2000 mile road trip and our local mechanic (not Hyundai dealer) discovered the timing chain cover leaking oil. Was determined that we could drive vehicle on the trip as long as we regularly checked oil. Needed to add 2 quarters of oil on trip. Going into the dealer next week for repairs which we are told will take up to 2 days. Had 9600 miles on car & was found 3 weeks ago. Hoping repair takes care of problem!!"
