    First Take
The redesigned 2006 Infiniti M35 is now our top-rated midsize luxury sedan. The sedan is now a much roomier, more contemporary design. Even with all-wheel drive the 3.5-liter V6 of the M35 is strong and gutsy. Ride and handling are quite capable, and the Infiniti is comfortable both cruising on the highway or hustling along twisty roads. The interior is plush and well-constructed. Audio and navigation functions are relatively easy to master and are controlled via a dash-top knob or voice activation. The optional lane departure sensor can be useful on the highway.
