    Infiniti M Road Test
    Introduction

Infiniti's flagship is among our top-rated luxury sedans. Handling is agile and the interior is nicely finished. Performance is strong, and fuel economy has improved, even with the power increase. But the engine can sound a bit raspy when revved high. A wide variety of electronic safety technologies is available, though the features range from useful to simply annoying. Controls are daunting at first, but experience brings familiarity.

The hybrid model gets better fuel economy than the non-hybrid version -- and on par with some small cars -- but the hybrid system tends to be jerky and abrupt transitioning in and out of electric power. With more power, the hybrid also has quicker acceleration than the conventional version, but diminished handling and braking.

    Notable changes

2014 brought a name change from M37 to Q70. Styling was facelifted for 2015, which also marked the introduction of a long-wheelbase Q70L model.
