    Road Test

The Borrego is an SUV made with body-on-frame construction. That makes it good for towing, but the design undermines everyday driving qualities such as ride comfort and handling finesse. Despite its independent suspension, the Borrego has a punishing ride. Routine handling is sound and the powertrain is quite refined. The interior is well finished and many amenities come standard. The usable third row brings seating to seven. Ultimately, the Borrego was sold for just one model year.
