    EV Charging

Won't charge at home; won't work with some public chargers; won't fully charge; charge connection; charge port door.

    What Owners Say

    Charge connection problem

"I bought the EV9 GT-Line from a dealer 80 miles from home because they had the only trim level we wanted. After arriving at home and plugging it in to the Level 1 & 2 charger we had installed, the EV9 would not accept the charge and faulted out. I took it to the local Mechanicsburg, PA dealer who, after a week, determined that there a computer module had failed. He also said it could take months for a replacement to be shipped from Korea. Today is April 24th. I'm told we might get it back tomorrow."

    Won't charge at home

"The dealer determined that the EV9 would charge at Level 3, but not 1 & 2."

    Anonymous A., PA (2024 Kia EV9 GT-Line Electric)

"Kia wouldn't charge on any Chargepoint charger (which is what we have at home). Unable to debug remotely, we took it back to the dealer. Kia had to fly an engineer from Korea to fix it, and they kept the car for a *month*. (They gave us a rental and waived a monthly lease payment.) Has worked perfectly since we got it back."
