    "My daughter went off to college so this car was not driven as frequently as in the past. The battery has died (and required a jump/tow) on 3 separate occasions. It seems that if the car isnt driven at least every 3-4 days, the battery(s) die. Ive taken it to the dealership and they say nothing is wrong with it."

    "Occasionally I have had to jam on the brakes when driving on highways to avoid a problem. Sometimes the vehicle skids a good bit before the abs system cuts on and stops the skidding. I requested the dealer service department to check it, but they did not reproduce the problem. I still have this happen sometimes."

    A fire increases the risk of injury.
    Summary:
    Kia America, Inc. (Kia) is recalling certain 2017-2022 Niro and 2018-2022 Niro Plug-in Hybrid vehicles. Fluid may leak into the printed circuit board inside the hydraulic clutch actuator, which can result in an engine compartment fire.
    What should you do:
    Dealers will inspect and replace the hydraulic clutch actuator as necessary and install a new fuse, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 29, 2023. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia's number for this recall is SC276.
