After three batteries in four years and dealership unable to find the problem of why batteries are going dead I searched the internet and found the solution. Since no longer using the auto light setting there has been no more battery failures. We no longer go in the garage late at night and find lights on even if the car has not been driven in a couple of days."

Anonymous, OH (2017 Kia Sorento LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Engine slowed down while driving on the highway March 2022 at night. I bought car in June 2020. Error code 2600 found by my mechanic. He said take to dealer. I go to the dealer & the service manager has 4 high stacks of paper of customers with the same issue. I waited 3 weeks to be seen by dealer. I already knew this was bad. Mean while how do I get to work & take kids to school? Lucky for me I had an extra car to use. Manufacture's recall on Hyundai/Kia engines. Per Canada & US engines catch fire or have to be replaced. Its all over the internet. Engine defect bad connecting rods. Dealer called, good news engine is being replaced with a new one. Bad news it will take 4 months. I took 2 months to install new 4cylinder engine. Engine runs great, no issues. I get regular maintenance. Good gas mileage & I keep good tires on. I'm happy with the car. If I had money and better options I would have bought a Toyota Highlander."

I have been very dissatisfied with the tires because I am experiencing much more road noise than the old tires, plus when I get to about 60 MPH I experience noticeable vibration. I had the KIA dealer check and rebalance the tires twice after the installation and still no resolution. I have called KUMHO numerous times and left messages about my dissatisfaction with their tires and they never get back to me. I guess my only solution is to spend another $1200 to get a better brand of tire. I will not go back to the KIA dealer to do this."

Reliability indicates how models have performed in the past, providing the basis for predicting how the vehicles will hold up in the year ahead. These charts provide the most comprehensive reliability information available to consumers. Based on information received from our latest subscriber survey for over 300,000 vehicles, our reliability history charts give you a rundown on how 2000 through 2024 vehicles are holding up in 20 potential trouble spots, ranging from the engine, transmission, electric motor, EV charging, and brakes to power equipment and the electrical accessories. NA indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.
