The Sportage is a pleasant and well-rounded vehicle with a lot of standard features for its price, a roomy interior, good levels of fit and finish and a refined V6 powertrain. Still, it falls far short of class-leading models. In our testing, the Sportage lost points for middling fuel economy, long stopping distances and less-than-agile handling.
