"Cracked Windshields. Windshield has cracked 3 times in 30 months. First crack was 7 months after purchasing vehicle. Most recent, one week ago. Windshield cracks too easy from rock hits. $250 deductible each time to replace. This appears to be an ongoing issue with Tellurides going back to 2020."

    Anonymous A., CA (2022 Kia Telluride SX 3.8-L V6)

"Paint on the aluminum part that goes around the windows has become splotchy and coming off. Service advisor said it is a common issue."

    Anonymous, TX (2022 Kia Telluride 3.8-L V6)

"We had a fire(KIA calls it a Thermal event)! The trailer electronics apparently never turns off and after a 4 hr trip to VT, flaming plastic next to the gas tank starting dripping to the ground. KIA, never offered a lemon law policy, instead paid for a new electronic harness and bodywork where original had melted. My wife immediately wanted to dump this car back in KIA's lap, we liked everything else about it, and so far are keeping it. Now I'm learning that certain models might have a similar electronic seat issue with overheating and we're praying our model doesn't have this issue as well. Otherwise the car has beeb very good. Two other issues, were one of the suspension arms didn't work making the rear right pogo stick since no damping in the hydralics. KIA fixed this. Last thing, actually one of the first things was a bad Michelin tire, had a bad wire band or something, but the dealer had that replaced. "Otherwise, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play"? Well so far we're sticking with this. Otherwise we'll look at the extended Highlander or perhaps the Subaru Ascent."

    Anonymous, NY (2022 Kia Telluride 3.8-L V6)

"Kia windshield was replaced 6 times kia paid for one, but wasnt honest about the poor quality of the wondshield"

Anonymous, SC (2022 Kia Telluride SX 3.8-L V6)

"The windshield had hundreds of micro bubbles in the glass that were only apparent when driving into the sun. Kia would not replace the windshield as they said it was out of warrenty at 45000 mi. I felt it was a manufacturing defect."

    Anonymous A., TX (2022 Kia Telluride 3.8-L V6)

Anonymous, SC (2022 Kia Telluride SX 3.8-L V6)

"Knocking noise from rear started at 28K. Got consistently worse and took in at 32.7K. Dealer stated it was a known issue and likely rear shock absorbers but Kia dictated to first replace insulator-struts. Did that but noise persisted. Had to take back in and dealer replaced rear shock assemblies at 33.9K. Seems to have fixed issue."

    Climate System

AC compressor, blower (fan) motor, condenser, evaporator, heater system, automatic climate system, electrical failure, refrigerant leakage.

    What Owners Say

    A/C compressor

"The A/C compressor did not work properly from when I got car, I had to bring it in (2 hours away from where I live) three times before it was fixed. Apparently it did not have proper charge and fluids when it was taken off the delivery truck but I dont know for sure that was the issue. It took the course of 7 months to resolve (over winter not a problem obviously)"

Anonymous, CO (2022 Kia Telluride EX 3.8-L V6)
    Other climate system problem

"The climate controls for heat appear to be improperly adjusted. It takes a setting of 78 or more to get and maintain a warm cabin; will discuss with dealer at next service appointment."

Anonymous, MT (2022 Kia Telluride LX 3.8-L V6)

    Fuel System/Emissions

Sensors (O₂, or oxygen, sensor), emission-control devices (includes EGR), fuel-injection system, fuel gauge/sender, fuel pump, problems filling up the tank.

    What Owners Say

    Fuel pump

"Vehicle would not accelerate when we pressed the accelerator. RPMs would go up but not the speed. The issue was intermittent so wouldnt duplicate for the dealer. It was a safety issue because the vehicle wouldnt accelerate pulling out on a road, or on the highway might only get up to 45 mph. We didnt feel comfortable transporting our grandchildren in the vehicle. Dealer had a difficult time finding the issue. Vehicle was out of service for three months. No loaners were available although the vehicle was under warranty. I contacted Kia Corporate & they finally diagnosed the problem & provided a rental car but then had to wait for the part because they were back ordered. The vehicle had two fuel pumps. They ended up replacing one & then the other. It was a long ordeal & the customer service through the dealer was not great."
