"Dealer installed rubber strip to prevent damage to rear bumper while loading/unloading cargo started loosening/detaching in the first year but the dealership decided it was not their problem."

"Deaaler refused to replace rusted chrome exhaust extersion; Blamed it on road salt. Road salt no problem with other vehicle and I had a very mild winter with little or no road salt exposure. Returning to dealer soon to confront again."

"Paint chipping and peeling on hood and grille area."

"Front wheel drive causes auto to swerve during accelleration, especially around corners or curves. Dangerous design flaw."

"Self leveling left rear shock was leaking. Replaced by factory. No charge."

"Knocking noise from rear started at 28K. Got consistently worse and took in at 32.7K. Dealer stated it was a known issue and likely rear shock absorbers but Kia dictated to first replace insulator-struts. Did that but noise persisted. Had to take back in and dealer replaced rear shock assemblies at 33.9K. Seems to have fixed issue."

"The A/C compressor did not work properly from when I got car, I had to bring it in (2 hours away from where I live) three times before it was fixed. Apparently it did not have proper charge and fluids when it was taken off the delivery truck but I dont know for sure that was the issue. It took the course of 7 months to resolve (over winter not a problem obviously)"

"The climate controls for heat appear to be improperly adjusted. It takes a setting of 78 or more to get and maintain a warm cabin; will discuss with dealer at next service appointment."

"The power tailgate would open but would not close automatically. It took a month in the shop for the issue to be resolved. Kia told us that the issue was the electrical was giving the wrong voltage to the motor that operated the tailgate. It was apparently a very expensive fix although it was still under warranty."

"There was a chronic headliner rattle between the 2 sunroofs that the dealer was unable to stop, even after several tries. There was even a technical bulletin from Kia addressing the problem but it didn't seem to help the dealer"

"Vehicle would not accelerate when we pressed the accelerator. RPMs would go up but not the speed. The issue was intermittent so wouldnt duplicate for the dealer. It was a safety issue because the vehicle wouldnt accelerate pulling out on a road, or on the highway might only get up to 45 mph. We didnt feel comfortable transporting our grandchildren in the vehicle. Dealer had a difficult time finding the issue. Vehicle was out of service for three months. No loaners were available although the vehicle was under warranty. I contacted Kia Corporate & they finally diagnosed the problem & provided a rental car but then had to wait for the part because they were back ordered. The vehicle had two fuel pumps. They ended up replacing one & then the other. It was a long ordeal & the customer service through the dealer was not great."
