    Road Test

The Land Rover LR4 was introduced as a 2010 freshening of the LR3, but the changes improved this vehicle far more than a mid-cycle overhaul typically does. The larger and more powerful V8 engine provided effortless acceleration and better fuel economy than before. Braking performance, controls and interior quality were improved as well. Carried over attributes include a roomy cabin that's comfortable, quiet, and luxuriously appointed. The third-row seat is usable, and cargo capacity is generous. Off-road capabilities are top-notch. The ride is supple but can get unsettled and handling, though secure, is not a long suit.
