    Electrical Accessories

Cruise control, clock, warning lights, body control module, keyless entry, wiper motor or washer, tire pressure monitor, interior or exterior lights, horn, gauges, 12V power plug, USB ports, alarm or security system, remote engine start, heated or cooled seats, heated steering wheel, headlights, automatic headlights, automatic wipers, wireless charging pad.

    What Owners Say

    12V battery

"Roadside service did not jump start correctly and damaged the electrical system thus needing to replace some electrical components"

Anonymous, CA (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.4-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Unknown to me and to the Tech at Lexus. My 12v battery was faulty and not able to keep a proper charge. So on short trips, the battery would get low and then due to internal settings on the Center In Dash Monitor, the power supplied by the battery were too LOW, so the Monitor would go blank as an internal safety feature. Causing a host of other issues as i was unable to access a lot of car controls and entrainment, travel and comfort controls"

    Anonymous A., AB (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"The battery is in the trunk and is too small. It only sometimes gets a chance to charge properly and never gets a chance to warm up in winter. I had to buy a battery charger so the charge is high enough to prevent freezing. When I attach the charger, it usually indicates less than 50% charge. We live in Alberta. The car's electric system is not adequate for a cold winter environment. I would never buy another Lexus with this setup."

    Anonymous A., AB (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Keyless entry

"The 12v battery is in the back. It's too small, doesn't get enough charging and is subject to freezing. It gets cold in Alberta. The car has the worst feature ever added to a vehicle - when the battery is low, it locks all the doorsno idea what they were thinking. I couldn't open the trunk to boost the battery; all four doors locked - I couldn't open the hood to get at the fuse box to boost the battery. We have been locked out and locked in the car. Neither was a pleasant experience at -26C. The SOS button also doesn't work when the battery is low. There is no way I would ever buy another Lexus unless this "feature" could be disabled."

    Anonymous A., AB (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other electrical system problem

"Paid for digital key but app does not work. Multiple attempts to work with dealer and directly with Lexus to resolve issue but have been unsuccessful."

    Anonymous A., TX (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Display screen freezes up

"It took 3 trips to the dealer before they replaced the whole unit"

Anonymous, WA (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Display screen goes blank

"Randomly, when restarting the car after a SHORT drive somewhere (groceries, dog park). My center in dash display monitor would go totally blank and would not reset. So I was unable to use the cars temperature control system, Heated or cooled seats, Rear backup camera, any of the cars camera displays were not able to be shown, No Entertainment systems (radio, satellite radio, etc.) No Car display settings, alarms or control settings were accessible. No Travel or trip GPS systems were accessible. No Apple Car Play or other phone related services could not display or work. So I was able to drive the car but not very safely and would take it to the dealer where they were able to reset the screen. But did not know what was causing the failure for the first 6 months. Then they requested I leave it over night so they could run a lot of extra test and see what it was like in the morning. After having it happen to the tech at the dealership the next day. They discovered I had a Faulty 12V car battery which was causing all of these screen failures. Upon replacing the battery I have not had once incident since"

    Anonymous A., AB (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"It took 3 trips to the dealer to get it replaced."

Anonymous, WA (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other in-car electronics problem

"They offered digital key basically with lexus app, you can unlock and start the car without carrying physical key. I have re-installed thier app almost 100 times and it works for couple of days and thats it. Its very annoying and that feature is kind of upscale for my ultra luxury variant."

Anonymous, (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.4-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

"It was totaled in an accident"

    Anonymous A., NE (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 500h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"The rear trunk latch would not work. Kept a dog in a carrier in the trunk when traveling and it was impossible to retrieve the dog without lid opening. This happened on three different occasions. Each time it was taken to Lexus of Tucson for repair. This week the problem re-occurred (this will be the 4th time) and it has not yet been taken in for repair. This is a safety hazard."

Anonymous, AZ (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 500h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Maximum gallons of gas pumped in car has never exceded 11.5 gallons when gas light is on and indicates 18 miles to empty.17 fallon tank."

Anonymous, NJ (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 500h 2.4-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Dead battery after sitting idle for 2 weeks in January while on vacation. Had to use a trickle charger to recharge the battery. Reported it to Lexus and they replaced the battery."

    Anonymous A., ON (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Climate System

AC compressor, blower (fan) motor, condenser, evaporator, heater system, automatic climate system, electrical failure, refrigerant leakage.

    What Owners Say

    Blower (fan) motor

"The driver's side back seat fan had a bad connection that caused it to cycle on and off rapidly; it sounded as if the blade was hitting the housing. However, it wasn't. The dealer fixed it as part of the warrenty."

    Anonymous A., VA (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
Controls not available on infotainment screen

"Screen always glitchy. It went out completely and had to be replaced. Still glitchy after replacement. Cant get to work at all now - car wont start and cant get in neutral."

Anonymous, GA (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.4-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other climate system problem

"On full blast car only cools marginally - you still sweat after running for 15 minutes. Lexus dealer says too bad - the new hybrids dont cool as well"

Anonymous, GA (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.4-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Started at 15000. The condensate tubing plugged which caused the water leak into the cabin on the passenger side. The wet carpet started to develop mold which ruined the carpet lining."

Anonymous, MN (2023 Lexus RX Hybrid 350h 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
