Like its Ford Edge cousin, the Lincoln MKX has received updates over the years that improved its handling and fuel economy. Still, the enhancements don't create a top competitor. In its favor, the Lincoln has an absorbent ride, the engine delivers plenty of power, and the cabin is plush and neatly finished. However, handling, though sound, isn't sporty, and while the cabin is fairly quiet, most models in this class offer more silence.
Our biggest beef centers on the controls, dominated by MyLincoln Touch. Its touchscreen and touch-sensitive buttons make adjusting the climate, audio, and other functions a distracting and tedious nuisance.
