Anonymous, IL (2018 Lincoln MKX Reserve 3.7-L V6)"In the past 1.5 years, while driving at 70 + mph on freeways for 45 minutes or so, a dash light came on saying "see owners manual". Each time I was near a Ford/Lincoln dealer and stopped. They scanned the car and once a code came up "PO741". Svc manager at that dealer wrote a note indicating problem was TCC solenoid...circuit perf or stuck off. They all reset the computer and I was sent on my way, told not to worry and take the car to where I purchased it as it has a 100K warranty purchased by the original owner. The only driving indication was that normally at 70 mph or so, tach showed around 2000 rpm. Driving with malfunction rpm went to 2600-2700 rpm and fuel use was slightly higher. Do to a health issue a year ago (in hospital or rehab until a few weeks ago) I have not pursued it. The vehicle was only used during that time for normal around town errands with no extended high speed driving. I bought this MKX in March of 2023 with 60k miles. This is my second MKX, the other one was a 2017 that was totaled when a lady ran a red light. Other than the transmission issue the vehicle is excellent with no additional problems. For the time being I will keep it. I am 84 years old do not drive right now, depending on my spouse to drive. No long trips scheduled. "Infotainment screen would remain blank when car was started. This began during the winter and was initially intermittent, occurring only on very cold days. Eventually the issue began occurring every time I started the car. Screen was replaced under extended warranty."
