"The problem has been going on for awhile. The Mazda dealership claims there is nothing wrong with the brakes, but they should not be operating this way. We will be taking the car to an independent mechanic soon."

Wheel bearings

"prior to 78000 had to replace bearings on front and rear driver side as worn - both produced excessive noise and one was so severely worn that the tire was damaged (out of round) and had to be replaced to avoid damage to new bearings and avoid excessive noise. Now a 3rd wheel needs bearing replaced (rear passenger side).Very disappointing to have to replace 3 at 80000 or less."

Rough shifting

"Started in 2022, unable to address until/took seriously in 2023. Rough shifting into 3rd gear. Took to local trusted mechanic, he found a Mazda notice about it, recommended take to dealer. Dealer basically told me car just out of warranty, & $6,000+ to repair! Not a recall issue. just known rare issue with Mazda6. Took back to mechanic, he recommended just driving it if I can work around it, which I can, just know takes a pause before can shift into 3rd. And sometimes really press the clutch."

"The "put air in tires" chip is frozen in place even tho I bought new tires; it didn't resolve. Getting it fixed is not convenient and I keep putting it off. So now there's no electronic indication of speed/distance to next car, etc. More of a pain than a real problem."
