    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

"While turning left from a stop and needing to hit the gas to avoid a fast approaching vehicle the Transmission? Or? disengaged and the vehicle no longer moved forward though engine rpm was higher. Gas had to throttle down for it to teenage and avoid accident. Second experience was going uphill and merging vehicle did not see me. I hit the brakes the car shifted down as I switched lanes and avoided the accident as I came over the crest of the hill. The car did not upshift on the downhill. It required me to slow the car to 40 mph to upshift and continue driving. Mechanics found no cause in either situation."

    Anonymous, WA (2023 Mazda CX-5 Select 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

    "Rear Differential under warrantee"

    Anonymous, NH (2023 Mazda CX-5 Select 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

""Front brake pedal pulsation at 30,000 miles Found that the never seize that was installed on the back of the front pads caused the problem. Replaced with Brembo rotors and Wagner X pads. OEM rotors had a lot of rust and .005 runout. Coated rotors purchased .""

    Sunroof

""Sunroof exploded- there was no external impact. After contacting Mazda they paid for the cost of the glass, but i was left to pay the labour cost of the replacement.""

    Transmission Minor

Gear selector and linkage, transmission computer, transmission sensor or solenoid, clutch adjustment, rough shifting, slipping transmission, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Rough shifting

"When the outside temperature is below freezing and the car is cold, the shift between 2nd and 3rd gear is very harsh. The engine RPM increases when it tries to shift and then when it does shift, it is rough. It feels like it slips before it engages. After the car warms up, it goes away. The dealer says it is nothing to worry about. I disagree."
