    Steering And Suspension

Shocks or struts, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, alignment, steering linkage (includes rack and pinion), power steering (pumps and hoses, leaks), wheel balance, springs or torsion bars, bushings, electronic or air suspension.

    What Owners Say

    Power steering

"Increased steering effort was noticed at 3000 miles. Got the whole steering rack replaced. Recently fixed again by the recall."

Anonymous, WA (2024 Mazda CX-90 Preferred 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)

"Steering became heavy. Fixed with new spring and gear grease"

Anonymous, TX (2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)
Steering linkage (includes rack and pinion)

"Steering felt like it was locking up at specific intervals or compass points. It could only be "unlocked" with considerable pressure beyond that usually needed. Manufacturer and dealer determined that is was not an uncommon problem and needed to be addressed. I was without the use of the car for two to three weeks while it was being repaired, but I was given a free loaner."

    Anonymous A., CA (2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl plug-in hybrid)

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Other in-car electronics problem

"Telematics Failure message appeared on screen. Solved by free software update at dealer."

    Anonymous A., WI (2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)
    Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

"I sometimes have to unpair and pair my iPhone 15 Pro Max to make CarPlay work. It is frustrating."

Anonymous, OR (2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)

    Engine Minor

Accessory belts and pulleys, engine computer, engine mounts, engine knock or ping, fuel leaks, oil leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Engine computer

"Dealer continuous keep calling me to bring the car for computer updates. It never fixed them. Major dealer in Houston De Montrond Mazda."

Anonymous, TX (2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)
    Engine mounts

"It started after a warranty oil change at the dealer"

Anonymous, TX (2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)

    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

"Some times adaptive cruise control activate brakes in curbs to adjust the distance to the vehicle in the adjacent lane"

    Anonymous A., AB (2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)

"The windshield seems to be very brittle. Within the first 3 weeks of having the vehicle, a 1/4 x 1/4 developed right in the middle of the windshield after high way mile driving. Then 2 weeks later something hit the windshield again in the upper right quadrant from the drivers seat (attempting to be thorough, sorry I sound like a dick head) and caused an approximately 3 inch crack. It was during the winter in Massachusetts and the crack went from 3 to 12 in no time. Just something to note"

    Anonymous A., MA (2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)

    Brakes

    Anonymous, ME (2024 Mazda CX-90 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)

    Transmission Minor

Gear selector and linkage, transmission computer, transmission sensor or solenoid, clutch adjustment, rough shifting, slipping transmission, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Rough shifting

"Only issue is the rough shifting on the very low first three gears. Not a deal breaker, but requires a learning curve on modulating the accelerator pedal to smooth out the shifting sequence. TSB issued, and issue much improved, but Mazda needs to tweak the software a bit more. This is the only issue on an otherwise extraordinary vehicle."

    Anonymous A., CA (2024 Mazda CX-90 Preferred 3.3-L 6 Cyl turbo)
