    First Take
    A twin to the Ford Escape, the Tribute has a roomy interior, spacious rear seat, and good cargo space. Fit and finish is unimpressive, and the car is noisy. The 3.0-liter V6 provides strong acceleration and 19 mpg overall. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder provides adequate acceleration and 21 mpg overall. Both engines are loud. Electronic stability control is standard. The hybrid version of the Tribute has been dropped from the lineup. Reliability has been average. The Tribute has been discontinued after the 2011 model year.
