"The panaramma sun roof exploded. MERCEDES-BENZ refused to cover under warranty so I had to make claim under auto insurance policy. The part was out of stock in US and in Germany and it took 4 months to obtain part and make repair. This is a chronic problem and is the subject of a federal lawsuit. MERCEDES-BENZ refusal to stand behind their product is disappointing and at odds with their marketing which portrays them as a luxury brand with engineering excellence. After owning 4 MERCEDES-BENZ autos I will never buy another car from them. Also they run a scam with their prepaid extended warranty and prepaid service. They don't publicize that these are use it or lose it programs. For example, I had prepaid for service on the 2018 C-Class. Because it was out of service with the broken sunroof, I didn't have the opportunity to perform scheduled maintenance. When the sunroof was repaired and I tried to redeem my prepaid service, I was denied reimbursement because the contractual time period for performing the service had passed. Also, last year when my 2018 E-Class was totalled in an accident, they refused to return the pro-rata portion of my extended warranty premium and or any of my prepaid service payments, claiming they had no contractual obligation to do so. This is not behavior or a so-called luxury car company,"
