Mercedes-Benz CL First Drive

Introduction

This is the coupe version of the new S-Class luxury sedan, and it is just as fast, comfortable, and luxurious. The CL comes equipped with a standard active suspension that delivers a comfortable ride, yet handling is agile, with restrained body roll. The CL comes with the latest in safety and high-tech features. There is room in the back for two adults to sit comfortably. The front seats have a power-forward feature to open a path to the rear seats. When the front and rear windows retract the thin B-pillar lowers, giving the car an open hard-top look. The 5.5-liter V8 supplies an abundance of acceleration, never mind the twin-turbocharged V12 engine in the more powerful CL600.
