""I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the issue of brake line corrosion on my MERCEDES-BENZ vehicle. It is frustrating and frankly unacceptable that while there is a warranty for the subframe, brake lines are not covered. Being told that brake lines are not designed to last more than 5-8 years is simply ridiculous for a brand that prides itself on quality and longevity. Its disappointing that such a critical component is not held to the same standard. This situation not only compromises safety but also diminishes the trust I have in Mercedes. It is concerning that vital parts are left vulnerable without adequate support or warranty coverage. I strongly urge MERCEDES-BENZ to reconsider this oversight and provide a solution that reflects the brands reputation for excellence. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2015-2016 E400 Coupe, 2012-2015 C250 Coupe, C350 Coupe, C63 AMG Coupe, 2011-2014 E350 Coupe, and 2012-2014 E350 Cabrio vehicles. An incorrect front passenger air bag may have been installed during a prior repair.
What should you do:
Dealers will replace the front passenger air bag on the affected vehicles, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 10, 2021. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.

MBUSA has initiated an Over the Air (OTA) remote update. The affected vehicles have a rubber seal at the back of the engine bay that may temporarily stick to the hood when it is opened and then may fall into the engine bay when the hood is closed.
