The EV version of the GLB is part of Mercedes' promise to electrify its lineup
As part of its effort to build a parallel line of pure battery-electric vehicles, Mercedes-Benz is introducing the EQB. It’s a conventional compact SUV with an optional third-row seat that is essentially an electric version of the gasoline-powered GLB. There are minor differences, though: Aside from being electric, the EQB is a little longer than its internal combustion fraternal twin.
The EQB joins the growing Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle offerings this summer and comes in two trims, the EQB 300 4Matic, and the more powerful EQB 350 4Matic. Here is what we know so far. It competes with the Audi Q4 E-Tron, Tesla Model Y, Volkswagen ID.4, and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
