Anonymous, CA (2018 Nissan Rogue SV 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

"Driver armrest material has splintered. Repair would be $800-$900 because the entire door panel needs replacement per dealer. This trim item is a daily nuisance that affects comfort. Mechanically, the vehicle has been as expected."

Anonymous, NV (2018 Nissan Rogue SV 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

    "Tail gateproblem"

Anonymous, FL (2018 Nissan Rogue SL 2.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Radio

"My radio started freezing up and would not put out any sound when the car started up. I would do a hard reboot and it would resolve. Then ironically 1 month after having it 3 years it was permanent and wouldn't fix with a reboot. Since it was 1 month over the warranty they would not replace it and wanted 3500$ for a new head unit. I said it wasn't worth that much plus they said they didn't know if it would fully fix my issue but they were confident it was the head unit."

Anonymous, KS (2018 Nissan Rogue SL 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

"Also intermittent problems that seem to self-correct after re-start."

    What Owners Say

    Other electrical system problem

"While the problem existed for over 5 years, the dealership never told me that they had replaced a battery every year because of that problem. It wasn't until a new ownership of the dealer ship and new service manager read through the entire paperwork over the past years and found that a faulty module existed. The dealer ship kept telling me that there was nothing wrong with my car when it would not start."

Anonymous, AZ (2018 Nissan Rogue SL 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

"my hands free speaker stoped working. The dealer said it will cost 1K to replace."

Anonymous, FL (2018 Nissan Rogue SL 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

"The car will not start in cold weather ... -30 deg C. This happens a few times every year in Calgary. A portable booster pack will usually not help. When the temperature warms up to -15 deg C it is possible to jump start it or recharge the battery. The SUV was purchased new in Aug 2018. I am now on my 4th battery (all replaced under the battery manufacture's 3 year warranty). The dealer says that a block heater will not help. One suggestion was to that I could try removing the battery and bringing it indoors ! Not a pleasant task in -30 weather. I am in my late 70's and moving that battery is a challenge. I am afraid to drive this vehicle any distance from home in the winter ... it is a summertime only car. The dealer Stadium Nissan says this isn't a common problem but refuses to investigate a solution. I question this being a rare problem because when a severe cold snap ended last January I phoned the about having my dead car towed into the shop. I was told they had already had 15 vehicles towed into the shop that morning and they had no more room for disabled Nissans. They also said with the long backlog of cold weather starting problems it would be at least a week before thy would be able to work on my car. It wasn't too big of a problem because my second car is a much older but reliable Elantra ... I keep that car just as a back up to the Rogue. The GPS system on this car is terrible! It will often give misinformation or completely wrong directions. It will at times tell you to turn off of the correct road, after a half a KM or so it will say "whenever possible make a U-turn". It will then direct me back to continue on to the original road and original direction. When I asked the dealer about this problem I was told to use the GPS on my phone."

Anonymous, AB (2018 Nissan Rogue SV 2.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Remote engine starter

"Everything electronic refuse to work. Dealership never found the problem until I demanded a full electronic system checkup. They found eventually the aftermarket kahu LoJack module was malfunctioning."

Anonymous, AZ (2018 Nissan Rogue SL 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Fuel System/Emissions

Sensors (O₂, or oxygen, sensor), emission-control devices (includes EGR), fuel-injection system, fuel gauge/sender, fuel pump, problems filling up the tank.

    What Owners Say

    Fuel injection system

"The dash board displayed a WARNING. I took it to the dealership where they diagnosed a problem in the intake manifold. I was at that time experiencing a delay when I would push on the gas pedal, making it "exciting" when I would need to merge with highway traffic. The part was on back order and it took 4 months before the new part was installed."

Anonymous, CA (2018 Nissan Rogue SL 2.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Fuel pump

"fuel pump was failing, needed replacement."

    Anonymous, KY (2018 Nissan Rogue S 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Noises And Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other noises & leaks problem

"I purchased my Nissan Rogue at the end of 2018. Soon after, the hatch would close on me, hitting me on the head (hard). Not enough time to move out of the way as my arms were full. I've gotten headaches from this. It happens intermittently and my dealer said they cannot find the issue unless it's constantly happening. They even told me it's because my key is in my pocket and I must be activating it. This is incorrect, because I have had my key in my house and had gone out to the garage to get into the back of my car and the hatch closes without me activating it. This last visit to the dealer, I brought it up again and they said it would be very costly to fix. I told them it has been going on since I purchased the car and no attempts were made to rectify the problem. It would have been covered under my warranty if they bothered to even try to look at it."

Anonymous, FL (2018 Nissan Rogue 2.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Squeaks or rattles

"Although I had new brakes installed there is still a squeaking noise that "they" do not hear. I was there 5.5 hours and had front breaks installed (unnecessarily) trying to find the problem. Now I have to go back a 3rd time so I can take them on a drive so they can hear the constant squeak."
