What Owners Say
"Apparently the build up of heat greatly affects the engine and transmission performance of the 3 cylinder Rogue. Nissan has built into the engine a governor that will not allow the engine to rev over 3000 rpms. They know that this engine and transmission cannot handle the build up of heat when the vehicle is driven. There are definitely problems with the Rogue, but Nissan does not seem to care. There are much, much better cars out there for the public to purchase."

"Engine and transmission greatly affected, especially on long trips, or hot weather. This engine will not rev over 3000 rpms. I read where customers have complained that the factory tells the customers when the vehicle loses power and misses, just to pull over to the side of the highway and shut the engine down for about 15 minutes to cool down, then crank back up and travel some more. This is just absolutely absurd. This engine and transmission cannot handle the build up of heat of this 3 cylinder engine and ineffective transmission. I have read where many Rogue customers are getting rid of these cars for the above reasons. Nissan has many problems and does not seem to care to correct them."
