    Road Test

While many subcompacts are crude and cheap, the roomy Versa stands out as a class act. It has an absorbent ride, a smooth powertrain and a quiet cabin. The rear seat is especially generous, more so than some mid-sized sedans. And, interior furnishings are relatively posh for the price. Fuel economy is adequate, but not great for the class. It also lacks agility, although it remains secure when pushed to the limits, thanks in part to the stability control system.
