""Please note:I am an old man with little understanding of electronic systems--I have found that pairing my phone to the Ram's BT system is increasingly difficult and the system has become more and more unreliable. In all fairness I do not know if this has something to do with my wife pairing her phone to the system or with something else. I do know that the problem has become more frequent over the past two to three years and any permanent resolution to the problem has evaded us. I might add that the displays and electronic systems in newer cars has made driving more distracting and dangerous for me. These systems require a driver to take eyes off the road much more often and are very frustrating to operate adding to the overall pressures imposed by today's crowded highways, high speeds, and other complexities. It would be helpful if manufacturers would allow for some buttons and toggle switches in critical areas in order to minimize the number of times drivers' attention is pulled away from the road.""

Factory does not sell backing plate as a part anymore due to the age of the vehicle. Dealer recommended replacing whole rear axle. Found a backing plate parking brake assembly on eBay. Pulled the axle and replaced it myself. No further problems. Saved 5k in service. Not having such a common part for replacement is ridiculous.""
