What Owners Say
"This is a typical problem with all Hemi engines manufactured by dodge/ram. The heat shields on the manifolds start to tick like a diesel engine because the tension bolts break and they have to be replaced. This is a manufacturer product defect. So it is costly if not covered by factory insurance."
Anonymous, (2014 Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7-L V8)"I began to hear a clicking sound coming from the engine and smelling exhaust when I was stopped and the engine was running. I took it to the dealer found out it was a crack in the manifold. The mechanic said this has been a problem with Ram trucks. I had the manifold replaced, but within a few week I had the same symptom. I returned it to the dealer. They had found the new manifold had also cracked. It was replaced. I have had no problem since."
