"I cannot use Apple Car play for my phone. I will be talking and all of a sudden I go mute. I have to call the person back. It happens radomly. Sometimes when I am talking for 5 mins and sometimes after 15 or 20 mins. Local Subaru checked it and said they had not heard of the problem. If you go on the internet and google 'subaru ascent with iphone mutes when talking" you can find lots of others with the same problem. I complained to Subaru USA and they requested that I go back to the dealer to let them see if they can fix it. The dealer want to keep my car, maybe have me get on the phone etc. I have chosen not to do it. I also contacted Apple to no avail. Just have to live with it. I can use carplay when traveling with all the other stuff, like Waze. Its just no hands free talking. I will probably sell it in a year or so and go back to my Toyota Highlander that had no issues. I do love the Ascent though. I think it is as nice as my Lexsus 350 was."
