Anonymous, FL (2014 Subaru Forester Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Small coolant leak"
Anonymous, WV (2014 Subaru Forester Unsure)"Air conditioner just stopped getting cold air. Took it in and they said it was just a pipe issue but they changed the air compressor as well. Expensive"
Anonymous, MN (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The air conditioner air temperature was not as cool as previously. It started earlier this year and fixed soon after."
Anonymous A., DE (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"A/C failed two years in a row"
Anonymous, MA (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"the 2014 never had a great AC system is was cool but never very cool after repairs it cools but on days over 90 does not work well"
Anonymous, KY (2014 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"AC compressor failed completely in spring 2024, no AC at all, needed to get a new compressor."
Anonymous, MA (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Apparently, the AC is one of the few areas where Subarus are a bit substandard. Our 2014 Forester's AC has been erratic for at least 4 years. It is not life threatening but it is problematic on long trips in the heat of the summer."
Anonymous, ON (2014 Subaru Forester Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The compressor went when I was in 90+ heat in Florida. Lakeland Subaru did a great job to get it fixed in a timely fashion so I could continue my vacation."
Anonymous, NJ (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The a/c compressor is making noise and the clutch does not always want to engage. This is still pending replacement while other more serious issues are addressed."
Anonymous, PA (2014 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Stopped working, had to replace compressor"
Anonymous, WV (2014 Subaru Forester)"The compressor failed sometime during the winter. It was diagnosed when the dealership pulled codes."
Anonymous, MN (2014 Subaru Forester Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo)"Works for a brief period"
Anonymous, (2014 Subaru Forester Premium Unsure)"After A/C is used for 10 minutes, it starts to cycle on and off so sometimes warm air is being blown out. In winter this is not a problem but summers here in AZ are a big problem. Both the dealer and independent repair shop have not been able to fix it. This has been an issue for the last 5 years."
Anonymous, AZ (2014 Subaru Forester Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"After selecting the 'Auto' button for climate control, occasionally the indicator light comes on and within thirty seconds the indicator light goes out and the blower goes to maximum output."
Anonymous A., NH (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Fan would work only on the highest speed - noisy! Subaru dealer replaced blower motor resistor which resolved problem. A little over $400."
Anonymous A., NY (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"First noticed in early May 2023. The condenser leaked which caused the compressor to file. The condenser and compressor were replaced in mid May 2023."
Anonymous, VA (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The new car dealer from which I purchased vehicle replaced the evaporator in June 2019 because the A/C system was not cooling due to refrigerant leakage. It was replaced in May 2024 for the same reason, but not by the dealer."
Anonymous, FL (2014 Subaru Forester Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"A/C wasn't cooling. Replaced evaporator, added refrigerant. Inconvenient and expensive but not unexpected."
Anonymous A., FL (2014 Subaru Forester Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"ac did not cool"
Anonymous A., NJ (2014 Subaru Forester Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The evaporator was leaking coolant"
Anonymous, FL (2014 Subaru Forester Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Air conditioning quit cooling. It was determined there was a leak that required a new condenser. Took two days to get this rather expensive part. This wasnt the first time Ive had problems with the A/C."
Anonymous, NC (2014 Subaru Forester Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Air conditioning has lost its refrigerant twice since we bought it. Between that and the radio that has never worked right along with the front end that we have had fixed twice I would never buy a Subaru from this dealership again"
Anonymous, AK (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Problem not resolved, cooling is minimal, insufficient on temp over 80 degrees."
Anonymous, FL (2014 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Stopped cooling sufficiently and had to add refrigerant."
Anonymous, WI (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Started after purchase. Replaced condenser. Still appears to be leaking."
