What Owners Say
"On 20/13/2020 at odometer reading 25,348, I replace all 4 tires primarily because the outer edges of the front passenger side tire had excessive wear (edge depth 2/32 while others were at 4/32). Of course, the car had an alignment after tire replacement. On 11/17/22 at odometer reading 35,025, the front passenger tire was at at depth of 6/32 while the rest were at 8/32. After replacing the front passenger tire a two weeks later, I had the car aligned again. The Subaru dealership said I need to check and align as the car at least one a year. I find this a flaw since I drive the Subaru Forester about 4500 per year as my other 2 autos (2018 Honda Accord and 1998 Ford Explorer) rarely need an alignment. The Subaru Forester is an SUV and should be strong and sturdy."

Progressed and unable to replicate 1st time we took it in. A month later mechanic was able to reproduce and changed the key entry. Still didn't work and the locksmith who did the actual work found a Subaru recall from about 5 yrs ago which had expired. Took it to Subaru dealer who took care of it for no charge. The $1000 fee from our mechanic was not refunded."

Nope. It was the right front strut had failed; it was leaking. Because I was so angry about all this stuff that has gone wrong in this POS, and I complained, Subaru paid to replace that strut, but would not replace both, because there was nothing wrong with the left front strut. Even though they told me struts should be replaced in pairs."

Anonymous, OH (2015 Subaru Forester Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Rear wheel noise started gradually around summer 2023, became progressively louder over time. Shop broke the ABS sensor trying to get the old bearings out. Everything is fine (and quiet) now."
