Anonymous A., VA (2016 Subaru Forester 2.5i 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Lower front control arm bushings were badly cracked. The technician who inspected the vehicle in August of 2023 informed me that I would need to have them replaced prior to the next annual inspection (Pennsylvania requirement).I decided to replace the lower front control arms (with bushings and ball joints) and strut assemblies myself. I replaced those items in January of 2024, then had an alignment done. Surprisingly, the car still makes a subtle rattle sort of noise when I turn the steering wheel. Even the Subaru technician that looked at the vehicle doesn't know what the noise is."
