Anonymous, CA (2016 Subaru Forester XT 2.5-L 4 Cyl)""Light bushing noise started around 98700km, reported it to dealer when i had summer tires put on. It became stedily louder and by 100000km i had to have a fromt bushing replaced for over $400. I spoke to dealer service about possible warranty claim, and i followed it up,they never did get back to me with an answer. Finding service somewhere else, now that car is not under warranty.""
Anonymous, ON (2016 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)""During my servicing last fall at the dealer, the mechanic reported cracking on the lower control arms front bushings. During the servicing this Spring the mechanic reported the control arms were moving around due to worn bushing. The service department replaced the bushings. After replacement I noticed a smoother ride. Internet searches indicate premature wear on these bushings is a common problem with Subarus.""

Anonymous, CO (2016 Subaru Forester Unsure 2.5-L 4 Cyl)""Control arm bushes were badly split & torn & cracked includes sway links & wheel alignment was necessary. Anonymous, CA (2016 Subaru Forester Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"I'm not a mechanic so I expect when I have the dealer almost exclusively maintain my vehicle that they do a thorough job when diagnosis is needed. Having a manual trans im not one to overly use braking yet the parts have such a short life it is ridiculous. Same with wheel bearings.I am very unhappy with the high maintenance on a vehicle with such relatively low mileage."
Anonymous, NY (2016 Subaru Forester Unsure 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Steering to all the way right would lock and not return"
Anonymous A., NY (2016 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The left side rack failed and had to be replaced."

Anonymous, MA (2016 Subaru Forester Premium 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo)""Both rear wheel bearings failed at 86000 miles. Considering that they are not a maintenance item, they should have lasted longer.""
Anonymous, CT (2016 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Noise started about 6 months ago and got progressively louder. Finally had left rear wheel bearing replaced. Found out this is fairly common on this model year but no factory recall."

Anonymous, LA (2016 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Simply wheel bearing(s) wore out. Had replaced 1 front at 170000kms and two rear at 198000km. Probably didn't need to replace both but tech thought the second rear bearing was "starting" to make noise so I decided to replace. Will likely need to replace the last bearing within the next 12 months but let's see! I consider this a wear item at these kms."
Anonymous A., NL (2016 Subaru Forester Touring 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Right rear wheel bearing replaced"
Anonymous, CO (2016 Subaru Forester Unsure 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Again wheel bearings failed on one side after around 70k on the car."
