    ""Four years and one month after I took delivery of the car, my car had an alert "Unable to charge - maximum charge level reached. Reduced maximum charge level - Schedule service." This meant "Your vehicle has detected a condition internal to the high voltage battery that is limiting the battery's ability to charge 50% of State of Charge." I contacted Tesla's service center via the app and they gave me an appointment that was just over a week away, which I accepted, assuming that was their earliest available. However, when I tried to charge my car a few days later (when the battery was under 50%), it would only charge up to about 33%, or about 119 miles of range. I contacted Tesla again, saying I didn't think the battery would last until my appointment. They offered to take my car that same day (Monday) and would work on it as they had time available. I dropped my car off and got a loaner vehicle. They completed the service four days later (Friday). They told me the car had some faulty/failing cells and replaced the car's battery. I don't know if they replaced specific cells or the entire battery. They reassured me the battery was still under warranty until March 2029, which is eight years from the delivery date. I did not pay anything for this service visit. I recently charged my car to 98% to see what kind of range I would have and it was about 320 miles, which is what I expected.""

    "Unbelievable but true, the Teska battery just died in Dec 2024 when the car only had 3.5 years and just over 40,000 miles. I got it replaced under warranty, but the most "assholish" part from tesla was that they matched the capacity of the battery decrease in the new battery. Let me explain: I had a loss of about 13% of battery capacity, and the new battery that was put in the car had the same 13% loss in capacity. That is totally crappy service. They should have put a 95%+ battery capacity as a replacement. There is a good chance that the battery was losing capacity because it was crappy. So not impressed by such service at all!"

    "about 6 months ago I found a small white spot on the lower edge of the driver's side door (under the door itself). Realized it was the paint peeling off. Since that time it has continued to peel and frankly has put me in the position of not washing the car as more paint peels each time.
