    Other body problem

Anonymous, MI (2024 Tesla Model Y Long Range Electric)
    Seat controls - power

"7 seat Model Y has a back seat that slides and folds forward. The cable harness for this control is too long and was cut by the sharp edges of the slides. This killed all power controls for the seat, but still allowed for manual operation. Tesla tried to blame my dog for chewing on this wire but after presenting them with photos and doing my own research, they covered it under warranty. The real issue is that the cable harness is a $40 part but since they constantly change the connectors and fasteners on the car sometimes monthly, they did not have a part to buy to replace this cable. They wanted me to pay $200 for the diagnoses and $1500 to replace the seat. I argued and had to waste my time but their service dept agreed to replace with a charge."

Anonymous, CO (2024 Tesla Model Y Long Range Electric)
    Windows

"Front windshield defect from factory - had to be replaced. Most issues are new car delivery/QC related."

Anonymous, VA (2024 Tesla Model Y Performance Electric)

    Noises And Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Squeaks or rattles

    "seat belt rattles"

Anonymous, MI (2024 Tesla Model Y Long Range Electric)

"On a perfectly smooth road, there is no noise. On even the tiniest of bumps or not smooth road, there is a constant rattling coming from the dash. It has been that way since day one when we picked up the car. They tried to tell us that was normal and it would settle. We have another Tesla Model Y that has never done that. Disappointing."

Anonymous A., TX (2024 Tesla Model Y Performance Electric)

    EV Battery

Electric/hybrid battery pack failure, replacement or malfunction, or cooling.

    What Owners Say

    Electric/hybrid battery pack cooling problem

"Car would not go into sleep mode - so cooling fan would run frequently and battery would lose 4% of charge just sitting. Tesla replaced CPU which fixed the problem."
