What Owners Say
"The middle row passenger seats had warping leather. I took the vehicle to the Toyota manufacturer under 10,000 miles and they refused to replace it 100% their responsibility."

"There has long been a design defect in Toyota 4Runner seats whereby when all the way back it makes a significant clunk sound under acceleration and deceleration. If you move the seat even a half inch forward it goes away. But that's a pain in the knees when leg room is already tight. They finally admitted to the problem but say that because it is a design defect they don't have to fix. If you search forums, you will see many complaints by people who bought used 4Runners and erroneously assumed it was a wear issue. It was apparent in my 4Runner from day one and got progressively worse."
