The 2024 4Runner is much more reliable than other cars from the same model year.
The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2024 Toyota 4Runner owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.
Premature pad/rotor wear, pulsation or vibration, antilock system, parking brake, master cylinder, calipers, squeaking, brake failure, regenerative braking.
Paint (fading, chalking, peeling, or cracking), loose interior or exterior trim or moldings, rust.
"My previous 4Runner (2005) paint finish & interior surfaces were more robust, more forgiving of daily operation and not so easily scratched. While the 2024 4Runner is nice to drive, comfortable and added features, the overall durability leaves a lot to be desired. Relative to paint finish, the front bumper and hood seem to chip extremely easy."
