"As I rode across bumpy surfaces a series of hard noises happened. The car still ran but I did not drive it more than a day until I drove it to a repair shop in my neighborhood. They drove it and said the noise was coming due to worn bushings so the right sway bar and bushings must be replaced. Cost about $450 dollars . Made an appointment for next day, drove it there waited about 1 1/2 hours . Then drove it home. This happened about 6 months ago and the car has driven fine since then. In over 14 years I have spent about $3000 dollars on repairs including tires , batteries , and regular oil changes. Also had minor body repairs (wife knocked off right side mirror backing out of garage). Very satisfied. May buy a hybrid Camry if this goes down. At almost 85 years old isee if the car or I go first."

Chose to replace all 4 struts and the stabilizer links as preventative measure and to accommodate alignment for new tires. Did the work myself for under $700, one third of the independent shop's price."
