Vehicle is used primarily around town (not highway speeds). Problem was resolved when front pads and rotors were replaced at 14000 miles. Braking is very smooth now as it should be."

    Rotors

"Experienced vibration in brakes at 12000 miles. On first repair visit dealer said they couldn't duplicate problem. Took car back at 14000 miles. Dealer said we had abused brakes and needed new front brakes and we would have to cover cost. Told dealer )1 brakes were not abused, 2) I would pay but will complain to Toyota about needing brake job at 12000 miles. Dealer contacted Toyota and Toyota covered cost of new front brakes on a one time basis. Brakes work fine now. Waiting to see if problem happens again in 10000 miles."
