"Seal at the top of the rear driver side door pulled free from the body sometime in the last 6 months. I can't stretch it back into place to reattach it. No water has gotten inside the car yet. Not repaired."
Anonymous, CO (2006 Toyota Matrix XR 1.8-L 4 Cyl)"Fall of 2023 I heard a slight rattling noise under the right front of the hood occasionally when accelerating uphill. It sounded something like a CV joint failure but not the same, since it didn't sound worse at turns. Over the next few months, it increased and got louder when accelerating, and not just uphill. It began to happen when idling at stoplights. Service diagnosis was failed motor mounts, where one at the right front had sheared off and the other was deformed. Replacement of all 4 motor mounts was recommended as the others were weakened by added stress. Replacement of all 4 solved the noise."

"Original muffler needed fairly frequent repair since there is no suspension hangers between engine and muffler. Finally replaced with a second-hand muffler, which unfortunately is noisy because some of its baffles are loose. The cost of a new muffler is very high."
