What Owners Say
"Local garages in my area don't do OEM battery replacements (including the dealer!). It took awhile to diagnose and figure out how to proceed. Found a company (Hybrid Geek) that does mobile OEM replacements and it was easy and the car runs like new, also much improved gas mileage."
Anonymous, VA (2005 Toyota Prius None 1.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)"Replaced original 2005 hybrid battery after 180,000+ miles. Red triangle if death came on, drive directly to the dealership where I originally purchased and had new battery installed next day. This was an anticipated repair given age /milage so had already made decision to repair and keep vehicle which I have passed on to my son."
Anonymous, (2005 Toyota Prius None 1.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)"Needed a new hybrid battery but the initial one lasted almost 20 years so i am still very happy about this car."
Anonymous, VA (2005 Toyota Prius None 1.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)"My Prius lost most of its power so I took it to my mechanic and after reviewing checking out the vehicle determined that the rechargeable battery needs to be replaced."
Anonymous A., CA (2005 Toyota Prius None 1.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)"new hybrid battery"
Anonymous, IL (2005 Toyota Prius None 1.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)""Used Hybrid Battery 911 to replace with a recharged battery. It lasted about a year then needed to replace again. Charged an extra $250 because I didn't drive it at least 75 miles a week. Another issue in Tennessee is that hybrid vehicle owners are charged an additional $100 a year for tags, as if they're fully electric! Thinking seriously about going back to a gas only vehicle""
