"The forward splash panels attach to the bumper cover and fender. They are low and often brush against driveway aprins, speedbumps, bumpy road surfaces, curbs, parking lot curbs, etc. Eventually they tear loose and drag against the front wheel or the road. This is my second Prius and this happens with both cars. It is very fruatrating. Seems like an avoidable design flaw."

"While I was stopped at a stop sign, another driver made a left turn directly into the Prius front end. The repair cost $1,700 -- even though it was a low speed crash. our insurance paid it all, including the deductible. And they supplied a rental car, during the repair. The repair company cited all the plastic parts that are in the front of the car, which were damaged during the "crash.""
