    What Owners Say

    Display screen goes blank

"display quit working, was told only way to fix was replace the radio."

    Anonymous A., MI (2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
External music device interface (e.g., smart phone, MP3 player)

"Very poor design with poor audio quality output which drives me bonkers every time I use it. Complaints to the dealership were ignored. This has been an issue since we purchased the vehicle (new). The amplifier does not balance the sound properly to fade the front/rear speakers. For a premium JBL brand system it is an embarrassment for both Toyota and JBL for putting their name on it . A cheap Radio Shack system gives better sound!"

    Anonymous A., ND (2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Hardware replacement

"It appears to me that the Entune system in the 2018 Ran 4 has never been up to the tasks CarPlay handles routinely, yet my dealer has insisted it cannot be replaced with CarPlay."

Anonymous, FL (2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    In-dash navigation system (GPS)

"Toyota Canada refipused to supply same patch as Toyota USA so the GPS system is rubbish, very buggy and unable to update maps For Example, unable to locate Barlow Trail a road that is 42 years old and gets heavily confused by exact location (wrong side of divided highway, rural locations. Unable to phone pair with iPhone 15 Checked with mechanics who advised against replacement with after market as too many systems run thru it"

Anonymous, FL (2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

Reliability indicates how models have performed in the past, providing the basis for predicting how the vehicles will hold up in the year ahead. These charts provide the most comprehensive reliability information available to consumers. Based on information received from our latest subscriber survey for over 300,000 vehicles, our reliability history charts give you a rundown on how 2000 through 2024 vehicles are holding up in 20 potential trouble spots, ranging from the engine, transmission, electric motor, EV charging, and brakes to power equipment and the electrical accessories. NA indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.
