    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

"Passenger side door was retaining water"

    Anonymous A., DC (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"The hatch hinges became bent. No reason can be found. Hatch would not close properly. Had to replace the hinges"

Anonymous, PA (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Gas tank issue. I am/was not able to fill the gas tank to full after the automatic shutoff at the fuel pump. The only way to fill to full was to slowly fill after the automatic shutoff. The amount left to fill was about 2 gallons. When I bought the vehicle, I reported the problem to the dealership. I brought the vehicle in and they were unaware of the problem even though many 2019 toyota rav4 hybrid vehicle owners have reported the problem online. The check engine light never came on when I filled the tank after the automatic shutoff the way my wife's 2014 toyota prius c does. I took my 2019 rav4 hybrid to the dealership to have them "fix" the issue. I have filled the gas tank once after the automatic shutoff at the pump. It seems that the problem persists. I would have to recheck at the next fillup."

Anonymous, IL (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid LE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Water is able to enter the rear driver's side door cavity. This problem has existed since new. Neither Toyota nor the dealer would resolve this problem."

    Anonymous A., FL (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid SE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Replaced "HVFloor Under Wire & Traction Motor Generator Cable" under warranty @ 40,856 miles"

Anonymous, MN (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"The rear automated lift gate fails (doesn't open unless manually pushed open or closed) too often"

    Anonymous A., CA (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"There was an issue reported by Toyota where the fuel gauge wouldn't show completely full even though the gas tank was full - or something similar to that. I had my vehicle checked out for this issue, and I had the issue. As a result, a new gas tank was installed in my vehicle. Not a major problem, but a problem that was addressed so that I no longer need to think about it."

Anonymous, IN (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"The car has not developed a problem really. It is just a car with what I consider to be bad wind noise. It has been like this since it was new. You would think Toyota would know how to make it quieter. I generally keep cars about 10 years but I would like to be done with this one sooner. Though with the expense of cars I might just be stuck with it for a full 10-12 years. I just have to turn on the sound system"

Anonymous, TN (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Rear tailgate not functions properly. Had to have the struts replaced."

    Anonymous A., ON (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

Anonymous, WI (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Hardware replacement

"The screen would freeze and restart over and over making navigation, phone use, audio, inaccessible. This happened just after the manufacturers warranty ran out. The dealer could not reinstall the problem to fix it, and resorted to replacing the entire dash computer screen at my expense."

Anonymous, ME (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"GPS working when car purchased in 2019 but stopped working and now GPS not available for this model per dealership and unable to use this feature and was not resolved by dealership"

    Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

"Problem not resolved. Toyota has kept the vehicle twice for a week each time. They have no idea the problem. They will not communicate with us"

    Anonymous A., TX (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Bluetooth worked, but others could not hear when I spoke into the phone although I could hear them."

Anonymous A., FL (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Noises And Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

"I had a very annoying problem with a back door collecting water inside and then the dealership telling me nothing was wrong. Three times I had to take it back, they actually found damage from an unrelated recall item in the process. The door molding all had to be replaced and that fixed the problem finally."

Anonymous, NH (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Water leak in the roof rack mounting points caused major corrosion damage to the wiring harnesses in the vehicle. All wiring harnesses needed to be replaced and the vehicle was unusable for 6 weeks."

Anonymous, NJ (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Water leaks into front doors mostly but back door also. It would swish around in door. I had sealer caps removed from door so they would drain, now ok."

Anonymous, NY (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Doors sometimes fill with water during rains, car smells damp/water damaged"

Anonymous, FL (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    What Owners Say

    12V battery

"The 12 volt battery failed on two separate occasions. I wasnt sure what the problem was the first time, but the car wouldnt start and all systems locked up. After letting it set for 30 minutes, it did start. The second time it happened, everything locked up again and the vehicle would not start. The Toyota mechanic said rather than towing it to the shop, I should try replacing the 12 volt battery. I did this (not as simple as replacing a regular 12 volt battery) and the vehicle operated well again. I have found this to be an issue with our Maverick Hybrid also; too many system check demands on the 12 volt battery of a hybrid."

Anonymous, (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid LE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Keyless entry

    "Not resolved yet"

Anonymous, WI (2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

I forgot to mention that there is a problem with the stereo when you try to advance through the pre-programmed stations, it will skip many of them an loop just a few stations. THey replaced the radio unit and we still have the same problem. The dealer doesn't know what to do to fix it."
