I didn't know what happened - it sounded like I ran over something in the road (in fact I looked in my rearview mirror) and then slowly started to pull over...I realized I could still drive but there was a clanging noise (turned out to be the broken spring) all the way home. I was able to get it into Les Schwab and they fixed it (horrible experience with that but that's another story) It's been driving fine since then."

"While making a return trip from Maryland my friend pulled off the interstate so I followed to see if she needed help. Once we got her sorted out, I returned to my van to discover fluid covering the ground under the front engine compartment. I checked the oil and it was okay, so I pulled the transmission dipstick and it was devoid of fluid. The dealer told me that the transmission cooler hose had ruptured. The only saving grace was that I had pulled off the interstate to help my friend and the van was parked. Had I been driving at the time, the transmission would have been damaged and who knows what the fluid might have caused to the heavy traffic on the roadway. The cost to fix was astronomical because I was over 400 miles from home and had to rely on the dealer to repair my van. The labor rate alone was $189 an hour!!!"
