What Owners Say
"Battery in both keys died within a year in same week"
Anonymous A., BC (2023 Toyota Sienna XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)"This problem is related to a completely drained and dead 12 volt battery. The car cant be locked- i worried about being trapped in the vehicle- with no power to unlock doors- i love a lot of the new technology on cars today- but there was a lot to love on my 2005 Toyota Sienna- and a lot more cargo storage"
Anonymous, NC (2023 Toyota Sienna Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)"The wipers began getting slower and then only worked intermittently. Toyota confirmed the motor was going bad and replaced the windshield wiper motor. Began summer of 2024 amd fixed fall of 2024."

""The car was not driven often. The battery died- requiring a jump start. The tow driver used the bolt on the electronic control module as the grounding point for the jump. this fried, the ECM, resulting in an expensive repair and replacement of the electronic control module. the car was under warranty, and the tow driver was sent by Toyota. The dealership who sent the tow driver took no responsibility for the damage or the repair. I had to file a claim with the tow company to get the part replaced. in talking to the dealership, they let me know that this was a common problem with hybrid Toyota vehicles Because of the placement of the ECM in proximity to the positive charging port under the hood. I was told it is a recurring problem with hybrid owners, and it is apparently a design flaw with the Toyota hybrids.""
