Anonymous, TN (2007 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner 4.0-L V6)"it leaked freon and was replaced"
Anonymous, FL (2007 Toyota Tacoma Base 2.7-L 4 Cyl)""TPS devices in valve stem required replacement. Three of them were aftermarket and were only a few years old. The rest were OEM. All were replaced at dealership this time. They are 200 dollars each. If there was a way to disable this function without disabling any other computer function, I would do so. One thousand dollars; I routinely check the tire pressures manually anyway, and for that kind of money would no problem of continuing with no computer monitoring. Also, the electronic switching (on/off) of the 4wd transfer case doesn't function. Independant mechanic says it is a dealer item. Expecting the worst, I have not taken the truck in for diagnosis yet. The little motor module that operates the fresh air vent door required replacement. The plastic gears failed (of course). Fairly simple replacement, but the module costs 250 dollars from Toyota. It is just a little 12v motor with some plastic gears housed in a plastic box. I had to make the replacement because it was very noisy and tearing itself apart.""
