"Dashboard notification that srs system was faulty"

Anonymous, MI (2021 Toyota Venza XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

""The problem is that our Toyota dealership sales person mis-informed us of the capabilities of our Venza. We were promised that we could install a roof rack. We were also promised that the dealership where we purchased the vehicle would install a trailer hitch. We brought the vehicle into the dealership about 4 months after purchase to have the roof rack and trailer hitch installed. After waiting an hour for the work to be completed, the dealership told us that the sales person was mistaken. They could not install a roof rack because the vehicle had a panoramic window installed in the roof that could not support the weight of any items placed on the roof. The salesperson specifically told us that we could install a roof rack. They also told us that we could not install a trailer hitch for towing without voiding the warranty. They said that the transmission installed in our vehicle was not designed for towing and that it would burn out the transmission. The dealership refused to help us or even exchange the vehicle. As far as we're concerned I-5 Toyota (in Chehalis, WA) is a criminal outfit that will lie to make a sale and then not take care of the customer. I spoke to the sales manager and he told me that I had to talk to the sales person who lied to us. We were very unhappy, but could not find a way to correct the situation.""

Anonymous, WA (2021 Toyota Venza Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Suspension/Steering

    Other steering/suspension problem

""The suspension works fine, but is a little noisy when going over moderate bumps such as the curb onto our driveway.""

Anonymous, UT (2021 Toyota Venza LE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Power steering

""The electric power steering died with 43000 miles on the vehicle. Cost to repair/replace was steering control box and harness was approximately $4000. Luckily, we had purchased an extended warranty and only had to pay a deductible. Less that 6 weeks later, the electric power steering dies again. This time the failure was due to rabbits eating the wiring harness to the steering control box which was due to the Toyota dealership not wrapping the wiring harness in rodent resistant tape, failure to stuff the wiring harness up into the chassis nest to the cat converter and also the Toyota is using soy based wiring coatings which attract rodents to munch on.""

Anonymous, CO (2021 Toyota Venza Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Noises/Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other noises & leaks problem

""besides the clang because the rear engine mount needed replacing, there is a whining noise that happens under the passenger side dash by the floor, caused when the air conditioning kicks in, but not every time.""

Anonymous, AR (2021 Toyota Venza XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

""After buying the Venza new the road noise is excessive. I replaced the original tires hoping to fix the noise. The new tires didn't help. I wasn't able to test drive the Venza as it was being shipped from Japan. When I drive, it sounds like snow tires. I turn up the radio sound to cover the road noise. I'm very sorry that I bought the Venza.""

Anonymous, AZ (2021 Toyota Venza Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    What Owners Say

    CV joint

Anonymous, CO (2021 Toyota Venza Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other driveline problem

"clanging when accelerating and stopping. Only occasionally. Rear engine mount needed to be replaced because it was worn and causing the clang. Only around 35000 miles. Seems like it should not happen that soon."

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Apple CarPlay

""My previous Apple phone would connect to carplay but my new 16promax won't. The car sends warning messages if I try to plug it in. This is very inconvenient. Although it should be possible to do it according to the internet by pushing various buttons, it doesn't work for my car. I am exceedingly frustrated by this. To have carplay, it seems I either need a new car or a new phone, neither of which I am going to get. Frustrated.""
